1. What are the worship services like?

We work hard to make sure every weekend service is creative and relevant to your life. A greeter will welcome you at the door and our guest team will be ready to provide you with information on GT. We have a room for infants in our main worship center and offer ministry for your children 3 months – 5th grade in our Kid City Building. Our music team will begin the service with contemporary music to help create an atmosphere to connect with God. We also provide dinner on Wednesday nights and activities for the whole family. 2. What about my children?

While you are enjoying an exciting worship service, your children will be well cared for in a nurturing, fun, safe and clean, age-appropriate environment. We have childcare for children ages 0 to Pre-K and a fun and dynamic Kids service is available for kids K to 5. Click here to find out more about our Children’s Ministry.

Family First – the family service at GTAustin – is designed for families to worship together.  Parents, grandparents and children (kindergarten or older) can experience worship and ministry together at 9:00 am the first Sunday of every month in the Kid City Building.

6. Will I have to say anything, sign anything, give anything, or be singled out in any way?

If you are visiting, we do not ask you to give a dime when we pass the offering plate. We will not make you wear a visitor badge or stand up so that everyone can see you. We would like you to fill out a connection card so that we can assist you in your visit at GTAustin. You will also be invited to attend a New to GT class in between services in the Forum room of the Training Center Building. At this reception you will receive a gift and be able to meet some of the leaders and members of our church.

11. How do I get connected at GT?

Coming to a larger church, for some people, is a bit overwhelming. There are so many people, so many options, and so many ministries and small groups to be a part of. At GT, we have a time that is designed for people who are new to our church to help bring some order to this overwhelming adventure. Every, Sunday at 10 am we invite you to enjoy a free drink from our coffee shop while you connect with some of our leaders. If you are interested, we can talk about our history as a church, what we believe, and how we do church.  In addition, one of our leaders will help you become more familiar with our facilities so you have a good idea where everything is located.

We will also help you get connected to a Small Group that will provide a lasting atmosphere of relationship and discipleship, as well as, an Ephesians 4:12 (Sunday School) class or in short E4:12 class. Through this brief class, we want to help you become connected in real relationships with people who can help you become a fully devoted follower of Christ.

12. Does GT serve the city or community?

We have an Outreach ministry that seeks to serve the city in various ways throughout the calendar year. We have neighborhood initiatives, ministries to those in need, and special events for outreach. It is our corporate outreach goal at GT to Serve, Accept, Love and Tell those within our community 365 days a year! We are striving through the SALT Strategy to become a catalyst for change by engaging our church in outreach to be messengers of Christ to those within our community.
